We are delighted to introduce this year's congress partner, the Belgian Acupuncturists Federation (BAF). Since its establishment in 1982, BAF has been a beacon of quality and professionalism in the world of acupuncture in Belgium. Founded with the mission to advocate for the interests of acupuncturists, BAF has evolved into the largest professional association of its kind in the country.
BAF's statutes and organization align closely with the law on professional associations, and its recognition by the Council of State in 1998 and the Royal Decree in 2003 underscore its legitimacy and unwavering dedication to the profession.

Today, BAF is governed by a team of eight dedicated acupuncturists who convene monthly to chart the association's course. What sets BAF apart is its relatively young and dynamic board, committed to bringing innovation to the acupuncture world and integrating its practice with conventional medicine. This integrative approach enables BAF to offer patients a holistic care experience, blending the ancient wisdom of Chinese medicine with modern medical knowledge.

To ensure the highest standards of practice, BAF requires its members to meet stringent admission criteria, guaranteeing a professional and high-quality practice of acupuncture. Recognized by the Minister of Health as a representative professional association, BAF reaffirms its commitment to upholding the highest standards of the profession.

BAF remains steadfast in its dedication to preserving the traditional values of Chinese medicine while actively seeking opportunities to integrate them with advancements in modern medicine. With a vision to bridge these two worlds, BAF strives for a future where acupuncture and conventional medicine work hand in hand for the well-being of patients.

We are honored to have BAF as our congress partner this year and look forward to their invaluable contributions to our event. Together, we will continue to push the boundaries of acupuncture and pave the way for a brighter future in healthcare.
We are proud to announce that EUFOM vzw (European Federation of Oriental Medicine) will be partnering with us for this year's congress! Founded in 2002, EUFOM has been a cornerstone in the field of acupuncture, advocating for the interests of its 168 members and striving to establish and uphold high standards for the profession.

As a recognized Belgian professional federation, EUFOM plays a crucial role in ensuring that acupuncturists meet the necessary qualifications, including a medical degree alongside their acupuncture diploma, in accordance with current Belgian guidelines. Moreover, EUFOM is committed to promoting ongoing professional development through regular refresher courses, ensuring that its members stay on level with the latest advancements in the field.

In addition to its national efforts, EUFOM is also a member of ETCMA (European Traditional Chinese Medicine Association), enabling it to champion the profession of acupuncturist on a broader scale across Europe. Through collaboration and advocacy, EUFOM strives to integrate acupuncture into the broader healthcare system and elevate its status as a valuable form of treatment.

We are excited to partner with EUFOM and look forward to their valuable contributions to this year's congress. Visit their website at www.eufom.com to learn more about their initiatives and how they are shaping the future of acupuncture in Europe.
