Dr. Reginaldo Filho is the founder and president of Faculdade EBRAMEC (The Brazilian College of Chinese Medicine), which has consolidated itself as the largest Chinese Medicine Brazilian institution, focusing on teaching, treating and research. He is a physiotherapist, holds postgraduate degrees in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, as well as a Brazilian master's degree in health sciences. He is the first Brazilian national to have obtained a PhD degree in acupuncture and moxibustion in China from Shandong University of Chinese medicine.
Dr. Reginaldo Filho has developed the Kan Li Method as a way of thinking about and applying Chinese Medicine, emphasizing Classical knowledge as well as focusing on contemporary clinical practice. His personal mission in his professional life is to promote Chinese Medicine in the most diverse ways. This goal has led him to edit and publish more than 25 books, including translations of classical texts into Portuguese.
Dr. Reginaldo Filho has been promoting the knowledge and information he obtained both nationally and internationally. He has participated in courses and lectures in different countries, and is an active member of the main institutions in the field. He is currently the executive member of the Presidium of WFCMS (World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies) and the executive member of WFAS (World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies). Over the years he has been recognized by different institutions, and is currently associate professor of the WFCMS (World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies) and guest professor at different internationally renowned universities such as ShanDong University of Chinese Medicine, ZheJiang University of Chinese Medicine and ChengDu University of Chinese Medicine.

Dr. David Hartmann started studying for a diploma in applied science (Chinese Medicine) almost straight out of secondary school and graduated from the Australian College of Natural Medicine in Brisbane in 1997 at the age of just 23.
David set-up his own acupuncture clinic and has been treating patients regularly since. He has a special interest in mental and emotional health. This has led him to research the literature extensively, and to prioritise the treatment of mental health in his clinic.
This journey has also resulted in the exploration of different archetype systems, philosophical ideas plus an immersion in some fringe Chinese medicine concepts. This process has led to some incredible discoveries which Dr. Hartmann now shares with the international Chinese medicine community via online workshops (available from almost a dozen different companies), live seminars, and conference presentations.

Yanmei Liu is a certified translator in Australia and currently a PhD candidate researching TCM translation at Western Sydney University (Australia).
She holds two master’s degrees, one in interpretation and translation and one in natural sciences. Inspired by the sophisticated language used in TCM classics, she investigates the major considerations in translating metaphors in the Yellow Emperor’s Inner Classic by comparing their renditions from translators of different backgrounds.
One focus of her research is to discover the main features of the English versions, which can help readers choose a suitable one for their study of TCM.

Volker Scheid grew up in rural Germany in a family engaged in the cultivation of medicinal herbs. Following an apprenticeship as a gardener, he moved to England to study phytotherapy and Chinese medicine. Further studies led him to China, where he completed three years of postgraduate training at Beijing and Shanghai Universities of Chinese Medicine and apprenticed with several nationally renowned physicians.
He has also studied Kampo and other East Asian medical traditions. His clinical studies led to a deepening academic involvement with East Asian medicines, which he pursued at the University of Cambridge, the School of African and Oriental Studies (London) and the University of Westminster, where he was Professor of East Asian Medicines and director of EASTmedicine (East Asian Sciences and Traditions in Medicine).
Volker Scheid has published over thirty papers in peer-reviewed journals, as well as two influential monographs: Chinese Medicine in Contemporary China (Duke UP, 2002) and Currents of Tradition in Chinese Medicine, 1624-2000 (Eastland Press, 2007). He is the lead author of Formulas & Strategies, 2nd ed. (Eastland Press, 2009). Throughout his academic career he continued to practice these medicines, and now has almost forty years of clinical experience. As a teacher, his aim is to guide students to become rounded practitioners, by learning to work effectively with different tools and perspectives, which he refers to as meta-practice.

Dr. Zhang Hui, Ph.D, studied in Chengdu University of TCM for 10 years and followed
several outstanding TCM professors and masters in Chengdu.
Before he moved to Denmark in 2017, he worked as a TCM doctor, lecturer and researcher in Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Now he runs his own clinic in Denmark and teaches various courses regularly in Denmark, Germany and other European countries.
Additionally, he continues to conduct studies on classical thoughts in TCM and their modern use and has published over 50 articles and books. Dr. Saroj Pradhan (SP) serves as an Associate Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Medical Doctor at TCM MING DAO AG and works as a Senior Research and Project Manager at Swiss TCM Uni. He has extensive experience in both Eastern and Western medicine across academic, research, and clinical settings.
His responsibilities include supervising clinical training, assessing students' practical competencies, and evaluating final clinical examinations. Dr. Taulant Muka, MD, PhD is Deputy Director of Research at the Swiss TCM University. Trained as a medical doctor, public health specialist, and epidemiologist, he earned his PhD at Erasmus University Rotterdam and has held research and academic positions at the University of Bern, Stanford University, and Novo Nordisk.
Dr. Muka has authored more than 200 peer-reviewed publications, co-authored three books, and supervised over 60 postgraduate students. His research has been featured by international media including the BBC, CNN, Reuters, and The New York Times, with a focus on evidence-based medicine, prevention, and innovation in healthcare.
Peter Torssell
Peter Torssell is one of Sweden's most experienced practitioners and educators in Traditional Chinese Medicine, with over 35 years of clinical experience. After receiving his acupuncture diploma in 1988, he continued his training in China, studying acupuncture in Nanjing, herbal medicine and paediatric Tuina in Beijing, and later earning a Bachelor's degree in Chinese Medicine from Jiangxi University of TCM in Nanchang.
He is the founder and principal instructor of Akupunkturakademi in Stockholm, has lectured internationally across Europe and Asia, and has authored books on Chinese dietary therapy and the philosophy of Chinese medicine. Dr. Jong Kook Baik, PhD is an internationally recognised lecturer, clinician, and author specialising in Korean Hand Therapy and micro-acupuncture systems. Originally from South Korea and now based in the United Kingdom, he has over 30 years of experience in Traditional East Asian Medicine.
Dr. Baik holds a PhD from Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and has been awarded the titles of Doctor of Acupuncture by the World Federation of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Societies (WFAS) and Clinical Specialist in Acupuncture. He is the founder of Jong Baik Education, lectures internationally, and combines teaching with clinical practice in the UK.

Conny Cooper is a Chinese medicine practitioner with over 20 years of clinical experience and a senior student with the Association for Traditional Studies. She teaches regular CPD programmes for acupuncturists, focusing on reframing clinical knowledge through a classical perspective while developing practical hand and needling skills.
From 2020 to 2023, she served as CEO of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (UK), supporting the profession and helping to shape a thriving future for Chinese herbal medicine in the UK. She is the co-founder of the Root and Branch College in London, which offers a three-year, degree-level integrated programme in Acupuncture and Tuina.

Danny Maxwell, LicAc, MA, MSc, MBAcC, MRCHM, is a Chinese medicine practitioner, educator, and writer with more than 26 years of clinical experience.
Based in Bath, UK, he has served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Chinese Medicine for nearly two decades and has edited numerous books on Traditional East Asian Medicine. His work combines clinical practice, research, and education, with a particular interest in the historical development of Chinese medicine and its relevance to modern clinical practice.
Mieke Vlamynck

Mieke Vlamynck (Bruges, 1971) graduated as a physical therapist in 1993. She put her first steps in the world of acupuncture following a two year course on myofascial acupuncture (dry needling). After another five years of studying, she got a degree in osteopathy. From her interest in psychology and holistic treatment, she continued her way by studying Traditional Chinese Medicine at Vives, under the supervision of the university of Leuven. She has been teaching dry needling techniques and kinesiology to acupuncture students for many years in Belgium and to sports therapists in Paris and London.
Today, she is teaching acupuncture in psychosomatic disorders at OTCG in Belgium. She is also interested in scientific research about acupuncture and wrote an evidence based acupuncture paper on demand of the Belgian government in 2021.
Furthermore, she is president of EUFOM, one of the Belgian acupuncture federations and a member of ETCMA. She runs her own practice in Bruges.
